Technological center of comprehensive support to R+D+i for the wine sector
VITEC was born in 2009 as a non-profit foundation, with the aim of conducting targeted research and transferring knowledge and innovation to its clients. The center offers advice and technical assistance, analytical services, sensory analysis and experimental cellar service that allows the assessment of new processes and products at a pilot-scale.
VITEC works in the entire value chain of wine production. Comprehensively, it guides its research activity around the five major technical fields related to the production of wine: viticulture, oenology, microbiology, oenological analysis and sensory analysis.
VITEC is financed through the research projects developed and the technological services offered to the sector. The center allocates all its income to the advancement of its own research activity and to the enhancement of wine innovation, in order to obtain a better production and quality of wines.
